Slugs of

Native slugs are usually found in damp habitats and are thought to feed mainly on algae and fungi on the surface of plants. They are a distinctive part of New Zealand’s native invertebrate fauna and are often well camouflaged in their environment. For more slug observations you can check out my iNaturalist.
