Ooperipatellus viridimaculatus

Ooperipatellus viridimaculatus is an endemic New Zealand velvet worm in the family Peripatopsidae. It has 14 pairs of legs and is typically marked with two rows of pale green, blue-green or greyish spots along the back, although the colour and intensity of these markings can vary between individuals. It occurs in cool, damp habitats beneath logs, stones and decaying wood, particularly in forest and alpine environments.
