Protosynaema hymenopis

Protosynaema hymenopis is a small endemic New Zealand moth first described by Edward Meyrick in 1935. The original specimen was collected by G. V. Hudson at Gollan’s Valley near Wellington, and the species remains relatively poorly documented compared with many of New Zealand’s larger moths. Adults are tiny, with a wingspan of only around 11 mm.
