Peripyra sanguinipuncta

Proteuxoa sanguinipuncta is an Australian noctuid moth that also occurs in New Zealand. It is an introduced or colonising species here and is recognised by the small reddish or blood-coloured markings on the otherwise dark, mottled forewings. Recent New Zealand taxonomic treatments place the species in the genus Proteuxoa.
