Aenetus virescens, the pūriri moth or pepe tuna, is an endemic New Zealand moth in the family Hepialidae and is the country’s largest native moth. Its larvae spend several years boring into living trees after an early stage feeding on fungi and decaying material. NZ status: Endemic.
