Caloptilia azaleella

Caloptilia azaleella is an introduced moth in the family Gracillariidae. Its larvae mine the leaves of azaleas and rhododendrons, later rolling or folding parts of the leaf as they continue feeding. The species originated in Japan but has spread widely around the world with cultivated azaleas, including to New Zealand.
