Megacraspedus calamogonus

Larvae feed in the flowers and seeds of grasses and sedges, including several native Chionochloa tussocks and toetoe. This endemic species is currently retained under Megacraspedus, although modern taxonomic work has suggested the New Zealand species may ultimately require placement elsewhere.
