Nyctemera annulata, the magpie moth or mokarakara, is a native New Zealand moth in the family Erebidae. Its distinctive hairy caterpillars feed on Senecio and related plants, and the species occurs through much of the North Island and northern South Island. NZ status: Native, not endemic.
