Salsa fuliginata

Salsa fuliginata is an orb-weaving spider introduced to New Zealand from Australia. It is a small species, and is often found in shrubs, gardens, and other low vegetation.

Like other orb-weavers, it builds a circular web to catch flying insects. This species was recently renamed in 2022 as part of a revision of Australasian orb-weaving spiders.
