Stathmopoda skelloni

Stathmopoda skelloni, commonly known as the yellow featherfoot, is a small moth endemic to New Zealand and found widely throughout the country. Its larvae feed on flowers, fruits and seeds of a range of plants, with well documented hosts including harakeke (Phormium tenax), raupō and other native and introduced plants. Adults are usually seen from spring through to early autumn and characteristically hold their long hind legs out to the sides while resting.
