Leucauge dromedaria

Leucauge dromedaria, commonly known as the Horizontal Orbweb Spider, is a long-jawed orb-weaving spider found in New Zealand and Australia. It is usually recognised by its silvery abdomen, slender body.

This species often builds a delicate horizontal orb web among shrubs and other vegetation, which is reflected in its common name. A useful feature of the genus Leucauge is the presence of paired rows of elongated hairs on the hind legs.
