New Zealand Parakeets | Kākāriki
New Zealand Parakeets, or Kākāriki, are small, brightly colored parrots endemic to New Zealand. Recognizable by their vibrant green plumage with red or yellow markings, they are playful and curious birds.
Kākāriki feed on berries, seeds, fruit, and insects, and nest in tree holes. They are primarily found in native forests and some offshore islands.
