Backobourkia brounii

Backobourkia brounii is a one of largest orb-weaving spider found in New Zealand, it is not native and can also be found in Australia.

This species is generally well camouflaged and often hides near the edge of the web during the day. It is also known as Broun’s marbled orb-weaver, with females larger than males, as is typical of many orb-weaving spiders.
